Santa was good to Aiden this year...very good. And he definitely brought me exactly what I wished for all of these years! What a wonderful Christmas!
I cannot believe that the purpose of life is to be "happy." I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate. It is, above all, to matter and to count, to stand for something, to have made some difference that you lived at all. - Leo C. Rosten

Saturday with Santa
So we went to see Santa Saturday night...Aiden was NOT a fan! He didn't mind interacting with Santa as long as he wasn't in his lap. Any time I attempted to sit him on Santa's lap, Aiden would let out a blood curdling scream! So much for Aiden whispering what he wants for Christmas in Santa's ear! I am pretty sure Santa is now hard of hearing and will shortly be filing for Worker's Comp! :o)

Mr. Mischievous...
This is what I found when I went in to get Aiden up from his nap yesterday:
Yes...he has now "discovered" the monitor. He was also able to reach the diaper basket and pull out all of the diapers. Thankfully he couldn't reach the side of the basket that had the lotions and powder or I would probably have had a huge mess! He is just so stinking cute!!!

Doctor's Visit
Aiden had his first doctor's visit finally. It took a while to get him added to my health insurance due to some miscommunication with Aetna. So we finally were able to bring him this past Tuesday and everything went really well. His new pediatrician was very nice and thought Aiden was amazing. She took her time with him and he enjoyed the fish painted on the walls and chasing her rubber ball around the exam room. He had a fun time until it was time for the vaccinations he needed...four total. He recovered quickly and daddy and I brought him to McDonald's for lunch. After lunch we took him to the lab for his blood draw...that didn't go as well. The lab was unable to get any blood after two attempts and a lot of screaming...mostly from Aiden (mommy tried to contain her screams)! Unfortunately, we are going to have to try again. I am not sure when...I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about putting him through it again! We also had the fun task of collecting stool samples as well! Welcome to parenthood!!!
